Productiesite<\/h2>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Halverwege de 18de eeuw werden in de streek van Charleroi ijzerertslagen ontdekt. In 1763 werd op 20 km van de provinciehoofdstad, in Thy-le-Ch\u00e2teau, een hoogoven gebouwd die gevoed werd met houtskool uit de omliggende bossen. De Thyria-rivier vormde de stuwkracht.<\/p>\n

Zo zagen de \u201cForges et Fonderies van Thy-le-Ch\u00e0teau\u201d het levenslicht.<\/p>\n

Na 1845 werden de \u201cForges\u201d overgenomen door de onderneming Eug\u00e8ne Riche & Cie, die ook de spoorweg uitbaatte tussen Charleroi en Vireux. Hierna werden twee hoogovens op cokes gebouwd alsook vijf stootovens en een walserij, goed voor een jaarlijkse productie van 10.000 ton rails en handelsijzer.<\/p>\n

Tijdens de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw maakte staalproductie uit de puddeloven plaats voor het Bessemerproced\u00e9 en vervolgens voor het Thomas-proced\u00e9. Deze laatste werd ontwikkeld voor de verfijning van gietijzer uit fosforrijke mineralen.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces” equal_height=”yes” bg_type=”bg_color” bg_override=”ex-full” css=”.vc_custom_1589987501465{margin-top: 150px !important;margin-bottom: 100px !important;}” el_class=”custom-overflow” bg_color_value=”#363636″][vc_column css_animation=”fadeInUp” width=”2\/5″ css=”.vc_custom_1586528264516{padding-top: 15% !important;padding-right: 15% !important;padding-bottom: 15% !important;padding-left: 15% !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”custom-white”]Uiteindelijk zou Thomas er in 1878 en in Thy-le-Ch\u00e2teau in slagen om de eerste industri\u00eble successen te boeken. Dankzij de beschikbaarheid van steenkoollagen in de streek en de aanwezigheid van bevaarbare waterlopen voor het vervoer van grondstoffen, werd voor de bouw van een cokesfabriek gekozen voor Marcinelle. Tussen 1863 en 1872 werden hier ook nog twee hoogovens op cokes in gebruik genomen.<\/p>\n

In 1962 werd de fabriek omgedoopt tot Thy-Marcinelle, om in 1966 samen te vloeien met de \u201cAci\u00e9ries et Mini\u00e8res de la Sambre\u201d en de benaming \u201cThy-Marcinelle et Monceau\u201d (TMM) te krijgen.<\/p>\n

In 1980 werd TMM opgeslorpt door HainautSambre, dat op zijn beurt in 1981 fuseerde met Cockerill en zo het leven schonk aan Cockerill-Sambre.<\/p>\n

De installatie met integrale cyclus van Marcinelle produceerde ongeveer 2 miljoen ton staal per jaar. Hiervan was 65% bestemd voor de productie van coils, de rest werd gebruikt voor lange producten.<\/p>\n

Voor de productie van deze laatste werd gebruikgemaakt van de in 1971 ingewijde lamineringsinstallatie nr. 3: een moderne, polyvalente installatie met meerdere lijnen die uit in totaal 27 walstuigen bestond en de productie toeliet van staven voor gewapend beton, staafstaal en walsdraad.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row_content_no_spaces” equal_height=”yes” bg_type=”bg_color” bg_override=”ex-full” css=”.vc_custom_1589987501465{margin-top: 150px !important;margin-bottom: 100px !important;}” el_class=”custom-overflow” bg_color_value=”#363636″][vc_column css_animation=”fadeInUp” width=”2\/5″ css=”.vc_custom_1586528264516{padding-top: 15% !important;padding-right: 15% !important;padding-bottom: 15% !important;padding-left: 15% !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”custom-white”]De nieuwe staalfabriek omvat een zeer recente elektrische oven, een panoven, een continu gieterij, een installatie voor de verwerking van rookgassen en stof, en een installatie voor afvalwaterbehandeling zodat we in een gesloten circuit kunnen werken.<\/p>\n

De walsgroep is uitgerust met een systeem voor het walsen van staven en walsdraad op rollen.<\/p>\n

De walsdraad wordt vervolgens ingekeept om profielen te bekomen. De ingekeepte walsdraad kan ook worden gebruikt om betonstaalmatten en \u00a0betonstaven te produceren. De drie afgewerkte producten worden opgeslagen in drie hallen om het laden van de binnenschepen en vrachtwagens te vergemakkelijken.<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1730209625003{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]De fabriek van Thy-Marcinelle produceert hoofdzakelijk stalen walsdraad met een laag koolstofgehalte,\u00a0 \u00a0betonstaal op rollen en betonstaal in staven.<\/p>\n

De halffabricaten voor de walserij worden integraal ter plaatse gefabriceerd door onze staalgieterij. Op verzoek zullen deze halffabricaten (billets) worden gewalst met een snelle rotatie van het programma zodat de voorraad wordt verminderd.<\/p>\n

Het staalbeton is gehomologeerd in Belgi\u00eb, Duitsland, Frankrijk, Nederland, Zwitserland en Zweden. De markten voor de walsproducten zijn Europa, Noord-Amerika, Zuid-Amerika, Afrika, het Midden-Oosten, China en Oceani\u00eb.<\/p>\n

Het bedrijf beschikt over een schrootpark dat voornamelijk via de binnenvaart wordt bevoorraad. Deze manier van toelevering biedt een economisch voordeel want we kunnen grotere volumes exporteren, maar \u00a0ze houdt ook een ecologisch voordeel in want ze beperkt onze ecologische voetafdruk door de CO2-uitstoot te verminderen.
